Walter Blinski Obituary
Walter J. Blinski, 83, of Reading, passed away Tuesday March 16th 2021 at his residence.
Walter was born in Reading on August 1, 1937, the son of the late Josephine Zawislak and Walter A. Blinski and was the widower of Regina L. (Ochs) Blinski who passed January 2011.
He worked as a machinist at Reading Railroad-Conrail serving as President and Chief Steward of IAMAW from 1969 to 1981. He also worked as a machinist for AFSME-City of Reading serving as Shop Steward- City Garage from 1984 to 1987. He was a member of the former East Ends.
Walter is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Adam, wife of Kevin Adam of Reading; Kimberly Cichowicz, wife of Michael Cichowicz of Delaware and four grandchildren, Chelsea Crouse, Collin Adam, Eric Cichowicz and Tyler Cichowicz. He was predeceased by his son,Greg Blinski and sister, Dorothy Kurowski.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.
