Raymond W. Arrington, 89, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, March 16th, at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Raymond was born in Pleasantville, NJ on December 19, 1931, a son of the late Rachel B. (Green) and William H. Arrington and was the husband of Geraldine Haynes Davis-Arrington, of Muhlenberg Twp.
He was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Temple and worked as a welder at Dana Corp., Reading. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. Raymond was an avid gardener and took care of lawns for family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his step daughter, Deann Davis-Jones, fiance of Darrel Brown, Sr., of Reading; step son, Roger L. Davis Jr., husband of Lamarenee' Gulley-Davis, of Wyomissing, eight step grandchildren, Zenobia Davis-Contreras, Christopher Jones III, Roger L. Davis III, Diamond Jones, Jaquan Davis, Ty-Nesha Wallace, Ariana Davis and Arisia Davis and five step great grandchildren, Andrew Contreras, Amaria Contreras, Azaleah Davis, Roger L. Davis IV and Chloe Babin. He was predeceased by five sisters, Mamie Tucker, Maude Rice, Rose Thomas, Bernice Hevalow, Mabel Stevens and two brothers, John and Stanley Arrington.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will follow at 11 AM. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
