Ryan P. Baer, age 60, of Reading, passed away Monday, October 8th, at his residence.

Ryan was born in Reading on April 8, 1958, a son of Patricia A. (Bilik), of Reading and the late Paul A. Baer, and was the husband of his loving wife, Deborah L. (Bentz) Baer, of Reading.

He served in the U.S. Navy as an SA E-2 in the Vietnam Era and worked as a security guard through Security Guards Inc., at the Berks County Courthouse for 15 years.

In addition to his wife and mother, Ryan is survived by his son, John P. Baer, and his wife, Alysha, of Robesonia; two stepdaughters, Gabrielle M., wife of Christopher Martin, of Alabama, Kristie L. Ebel, of Tennessee; two stepsons, Erik J. Neira, of Reading, John S. Ortega, of Reading; and his brother, Craig A. Baer, of Reading.

He is also survived by three grandchildren: Gavin, Carson and Clayton Baer; eleven step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Friends are invited to gather Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home. Memorial services with military honors to follow at 2 p.m. Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
