Robert D. Rhoads, 61, passed away at 2:09 AM, Thursday, July 21st, peacefully, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Robert was born in Reading, on May 23, 1955, a son of Ray L. Rhoads, Sr., of Pricetown and the late Vunnie V.L. "Tony" (McAbee) Rhoads.
A 1974 graduate of Oley Valley High S hool, he served in the U.S. Air Force. and was later employed as a machine operator at Quadrant Engineering ( formerly Polymer Products) for 33 years retiring 2011
Robert is survived by His father Ray and his siblings brother William K Rhoads., husband of Denise Rhoads, of Ephrata; brother Ray L Rhoads., husband of Ellen Rhoads, of Palmerton; brother Thomas J. Rhoads, husband of Sharliene Bowers Rhoads, of Ruscombmanor Twp.; sister Davilyn M. Rhoads-Wentzel, of Whitehall Township; sister Marvis Rhoads, of Pricetown; and sister Vanessa M. Stoudt, of Rocky Mount, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Interment at New Jerusalem Cemetery will be scheduled at a late time with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donation in his name can be made to the Humane Society 1801 N 11th Street Reading,. PA 19604
