Casimir "Kaz" Wulkowicz, 84, passed away peacefully at 9:30 PM, Saturday, July 16th, at Mifflin Center, Cumru Twp.
The husband of Christa (Klitsch) Wulkowicz, who survives him, Kaz was born in Toulouse, France on February 14, 1932, a son of the late Caroline (Kania) and Stanislas Wulkowicz.
He earned an Engineering degree from a French University and was employed at Birdsboro Steel, Birdsboro, PA. He also worked as an engineer with Four D's Engineering, and was a radio show host with WEEU Broadcasting Company hosting Kaz's German Bavarian Alpine Polka Show on Sunday mornings. In addition he played German Bavarian Polka music up and down the East coast for German Festivals, Oktoberfests, and other events as Kaz and the Mischief Makers. He was mentioned as the Polka King of New York City on the Ed Sullivan Show. Kaz was a true Renaissance Man. He was loved by all he met and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Christa and children: daughter Karin R. Wulkowicz and her significant other Mark Priebe, of Shillington, PA; daughter Sandra, wife of Dale R. Kintzer, of Reading; daughter Tina S. Stitzman, of Reading, PA; son Gary M., husband of Nicol (Wilson-Ritter) Wulkowicz, of Bonney Lake, WA.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to call Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home and also Wednesday morning from 9-9:45 AM at St. Catherine's Church Chapel, Perkiomen Avenue, Mt. Penn, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM. Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
