Richard H. Shuker
Richard H. Shuker, 74, of Shillington, passed away Thursday, December 24th, at Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Lebanon, PA.
Richard was born in Reading, PA on March 20, 1946, a son of the late Clara (Jacobiak) and Harry L. Shuker and was the husband of Linda J. (Hummel) Shuker, who survives him.
He served in the U.S. Navy and later earned a Masters Degree. Richard then worked as a Financial Advisor for 37 years, retiring in 2018. He worked at Fortune Financial Services, Inc, and several other local brokers earning many prestigious awards. Among his most memorable were, receiving the Sailor-of-the-Month award while in the Navy, and earning an invitation to dine with Sir John Templeton in the Bahamas where he resided. His favorite activity was boating and off-shore fishing with his son.
in addition to his wife, Linda, Richard is survived by a son, Heath S. Shuker, of Reading.He was also a loving and devoted grandfather, survived by five grandchildren, Caitlin McCall DeReimer, Wife of Kyle, of Maryland, Darian Marie Shuker, of New York, Deanna Joyce Shuker,of West Reading, Cassidy Irene Berry, wife of Howie, of Schuylkill Haven, and Xander Shane Shuker of Reading. Also, three great grandchildren Eliza, Ayla and Nathan.
A celebration of life services will be held January 28th, from 5:00-7:00 PM, in the John P Feeney Funeral Home.
