Jean M Karycki, 86, of Reading, passed away Friday, December 25th, 2020 at Penn State/St. Joseph Medical Center, in the presence of her loving family.

Jean was born in Ashland, PA on February 3, 1934, daughter of the late Stella E (Colihan) and William J Canavan.

She was the widow of Walter A Karycki who passed away November 7, 2012. They shared over 55 years of loving marriage.

She is survived by her three children: W. Lee Karycki of Blandon, PA, husband of Deborah (Graczyk); Lawrence Karycki of Reading, PA; Lynne Ann (Karycki) Holtzclaw of Sterling VA, wife of David B. Holtzclaw, and her 3 grandchildren: Frances (Karycki) Much wife of Keith Much, Massillon, Ohio; Mary Karycki, at home and Brooks Holtzclaw, at home. Her first great-grandchild will be arriving early in the new year. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters: Mary E. (Canavan) Shinkus (John); Betty (Canavan) Helwig (Joseph); and Helen Canavan.

Jean will always be remembered for her love of her family, bingo, enjoying coconut cream-filled longjohn doughnuts and Penn State Football. Many thanks to friends she made at Queen of Angels apartments, where she resided prior to Sacred Heart Villa.Services are private at the convenience of family.

 Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa with her husband.
