Mary Perate Obituary

Mary Perate, 93, of Reading, passed away Saturday, February 6th, at Berks Heim Nursing Home, Bern Twp.
Mary was born in Reading on December 1, 1927, a daughter of the late Nancy (Cacagno) and John Russo and was the faithful wife and widow of Rocco P. Perate, Sr., who passed away in 2019.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angel R.C. Church Laureldale and formerly a member of St Pauls where she was a member of St. Paul's Holy Family Society. She worked as a beautician and was an avid reader, enjoyed Bingo and playing cards. 
She was a wonderful wife, mother and mom mom.
Mary is survived by three sons; Frank Perate, of Hamburg; John Perate, of Reading and Rocco Perate, Jr., of Philadelphia. She is also survived by four grandchildren; John, Christopher, Chloe, Rocco and five great grandchildren; Rocco, Dominic, Gianna, Julia and Andrew. 
A Funeral Mass and services will be at a later date due to the pandemic. Interment wll be with her husband at Gethsemane Cemetery.  
A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Berks Heim which gave our mother great professional friendly care and comfort.
