Kathleen (Hagen) Souders Lichtenwalner Obituary

Kathleen (Hagen) Souders Lichtenwalner, 98 of Reading, PA died peacefully on Wednesday May 24th at Berkshire Center, Reading. Born in Reading, PA on February 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harriet Mary (Harper) and Albert Raymond Hagen.


Kathleen was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reading, where she served on the alter guild. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.


Kathleen is survived by her husband of 58 years, DeVere Lichtenwalner, four daughters: Kimberly Cannon (Joseph), Patricia Moran, Sharon Shearer (Thomas), and Holly Shaffer. Also surviving, sister, Jean Falinski (Stanley), 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Mary Freese and brother, Richard Hagen.
