Martha S. (Diaz) Ramos, 89, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Reading, PA, passed away Friday, May 12th, in San Antonio. Martha was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on November 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Ana Diaz and Geraldo Rodriguez. She was the widow of Juan A. Ramos who died in 1975.
A member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church Reading, PA, Martha is survived by four daughters: Paula Ramos Colon, of San Antonio, TX; Rosa Ramos, of Houston, TX; Anna Ramos, wife of Larry Eppenstein, of Odenton, MD; and Maria Ramos, of Houston, TX; and five sons: Hipolito Ramos, husband of Cynthia, of Reading, PA; Raul Ramos, of Mohnton, PA; Hiram Ramos, husband of Corina, of Reading, PA; Angel Ramos, husband of Donalyn, of Ft. Mills, SC; and George Ramos, of San Antonio, TX.
Martha is also survived by two sisters: Rosaura Diaz, of Yabucoa, PR and Esther Diaz Arroyo, of Harrisburg, PA, and also a brother, Pedro Diaz, of Yabucoa, PR. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Feeney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM on Thursday, May 18th at Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of the Resurrection, Reading, PA. Interment follows the Mass in Gethsemane Cemetery.
