Joanne "Jo" Hall
“Tomorrow” came for Joanne (Jo) A. Hall. Born and raised in Ohio, lived for fifty years in California, died in Leesport, Pennsylvania on 30 December 2024. She is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grand-children. She was predeceased in death by her mother, father, 2 sisters, husband and many dear friends. She was a graduate of El Camino Community College, Torrance, California with honors and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma National Honor Society.
During her childhood she modeled, performed as a dancer, singer, and actor for the Higbee’s Children Theatre. Jo was a member of Rainbow Girl and Job’s Daughters.
Jo was a huge fan of so many sports, supporting the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, Los Angeles Angels and the UCLA Bruins; enjoyed Indy Car racing, and horse racing. She was a founding member of the Southwest Ohio Sports Car Club of America.
She volunteered as a Den Mother, Social Coordinator at a HUD housing facility, tour director for senior organizations and volunteered for the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Since her first flight in a Tri-Motor Ford aircraft at six years old, travel was always more about the journey than the destination. She flew in helicopters, hot air balloons, , the Concorde and parasailing. Ships included the side-wheeler Island Queen and sternwheeler Delta Queen, and many ocean cruise ships including the Queen Mary II and the Disney Magic and the Disney Dream.
She traveled to/through 4 continents, 11 countries and 39 states, and visited Disneyland, Disney World and Hong Kong Disney. (Jo loved riding roller coasters, especially the old-fashioned wooden kind, jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku, counted cross-stitch, and Sports Car Rallying.
She was an active member of Tower Fellowship, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Cleveland, Ohio and was a founding member of the Kirkmont Presbyterian Church, Beavercreek, Ohio.
