U.S. Army Veteran
Jeffrey M. Miller, Sr., 61, of Cumru, formerly of Blandon and Reading , passed away Monday, October 1st, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
Jeffrey was born in Reading, PA on June 6, 1957, a son of the late Rita M. (Hock) and Lester M. Miller.
He was a member of St. Joseph RC Church Reading, PA, a, Volunteer Firefighter, City of Reading for 16 years, Chief Park Ranger, County of Berks for 10 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt..and was a member of the U S Army Brotherhood of Tankers,where he was the runner up for the 1st Army soldier of the year, Company Level, Brigade Level and Battalion Level. He was also a Fork Lift Operator at Berkshire Greens for 12 years.
Jeffrey is survived by two sons Jason M. Miller, of Japan; Jordan M. Miller, of Reading, PA, and also survived by three brothers, Jerry M., husband of Terry Miller, of Temple, PA; Jack M., Husband of Rose Miller, of Wernersville, PA; James M. Miller, Fiancee of Jean Kemery, of Fleetwood, PA. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Miller in June of 1994.
A Public Viewing will be held 6 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, October 7th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA and also 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, October 8th at the Funeral Home. A Religious Service will be held at 12 PM. Interment follows in Gethsemane Cemetery with full Military Honors.
