James R. Costello, 82, of Spring Township, PA passed away Monday, April 25th surrounded by his family.
James was born in Pottsville, PA on July 12, 1939, a son of the late Elizabeth A. (Winter) Costello and James P. Costello. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Potts) Costello who survives him.
He was a 1957 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville, and was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle RC Church Shillington. James served in the U.S. Army as an SP4. And later was Vice President of Manufacturing at American Argo Corporation, Schuylkill Haven for 39 years, retiring in 1995. He was also a founding board member of the former Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, in Pottsville.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, James is survived by three daughters, Claudia C., wife of Stephen Ferko, of Robesonia; Patricia M., widow of Timothy Kirsch, of Lavergne, TN and Lynn A., wife of Mike Cunningham, of Smyrna, TN. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 Am until time of service at St. John Baptist de la Salle RC Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 29th at 10 am in St. John Baptist de la Salle, 420 Holland Street Shillington, PA 19607. Interment with full military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA at 3 PM.
In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in his name to St. John Baptist de la Salle RC Church.
