Johnny L. King, 76, of Reading, passed away Thursday, April 28th, at his residence.
Johnny was born in Bradenton, Florida on August 3, 1945, a son of the late Hannah L. (Franklin) and Johnny B. King and was the husband of Tracey V. (Burns) King, of Reading.
He served in the U.S. Army as a SP E4 from 1962 to 1965. He worked at various country clubs as well as Ford Motor Company and Governor Mifflin School District. Johnny was an avid Phillies, Eagles and 76ers fan.
Johnny is survived by three sons, Sean King, husband of Aretha, of Reading; Steven King, husband of Jossette, of Macungie; John King, of Reading; two sisters, Brenda Weaver of Reading and Naomi Robertson, of Reading. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren. three step daughters, Jeneake Torres, of Reading; Leah wife of Anthony Bailey, of Reading; Asia Harris, of Reading and one step son, Lamont Burns, of Reading. He was predeceased by step son, Willie Phillips.
Friends are invited to gather Tuesday, May 3rd from 5 PM to 7 PM at Feeney Funeral Home. Memorial service with military honors will follow at 7 PM. Interment is private at convenience of the family.
