On Friday, September 27, 2024 Donald Roberts passed away at the age of 74.

Don was born on September 11, 1950 in Olyphant, Pa to Claude and Evelyn (Jones) Roberts. He graduated from Keystone College and Kutztown University and was an accomplished artist, craftsman, and quality control manager at Weaver Industries for over 25 years where he contributed to everything from brakes for the Stealth Bombers to parts for Princeton’s particle accelerator. Fortunate to find an everlasting love, he married Coreen (Fox) Roberts on Nov. 4, 1972 and dedicated his life to developing their 3 sons Evan, Morgan and Justin in a vibrant, creative, and loving home.

His talents were boundless; as a singer that could sooth the most restless soul, an artist that could create fantastical scenes and photo-like realism with equal aplomb, and a craftsman pivoting from folk-art woodworking to sewing historic flags and civil war dresses with grace and ease. Perhaps most amazing, he was modest to a fault, presuming these rare talents were within reach for the rest of us mere mortals. Finally at peace, we are sure he is overjoyed to be reunited with his wife and are confident she will no longer be late in the afterlife, while she will resume teaching him patience.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, son Morgan, his parents, his brother Claude Jr. and his sister Linda Hartman. He is survived by his sons Evan and Justin, daughter-in-law Debbie, his amazing grandchildren Hope, Justin Jr., Faith and Charlie, and his brothers William and Ron Roberts. Funeral services will be held at Laureldale Cemetery on October 5, 2024 at 11:30am in section K by the tower. In lieu of flowers or donations, please honor Don by appreciating and creating beauty in the world.
