William R. Bradbury, Sr. Obituary

William R. Bradbury, Sr., age 76 years, of Reading, passed away Saturday, August 20th, at Manor Care Health Services, Laureldale. 

William was born in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County on January 9, 1940, a son of the late Evelyn (Quick) and Harold  Bradbury and was the husband of Elizabeth L. (Thomason) Bradbury, of Muhlenberg Twp.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a SN serving on the USS Pawcatuck from 1958 to 1961. He was employed as a mixer at Maier's Bakery, Reading, for 15 years retiring in 2002. He also worked at Glidden Paints, Reading. William was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling at Heister's Lanes for over 20 years.

William is survived by his daughter, Wendy Burnish, of Exeter; son, William R. Bradbury, Jr., of Reading; son, Dwayne H. Bradbury, of Reading; daughter, Karen L. Rea, of Bern Twp.; and sister, Marian Yeager, of Florida. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, John Bradbury, James Bradbury and Robert Bradbury.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.
