William "Bill" J. Pauley, 88, of Fleetwood, passed away Friday, June 23rd, at his residence.
Bill was born in Reading on June 14, 1935, a son of the late Mildred (Potteiger) and John Andrew Pauley. He was the widower of his wife of 54 years Patricia Ann (Rauenzahn) Pauley, who passed in 2009.
Bill graduated from Reading High School in 1953 and recently helped with planning their 70th class reunion. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a MR3 PO. He was employed as a production worker and customer service manager at Georgia Pacific for 38 years and was owner of BP Electrical for 25 years.
Bill was a member, board member, past president and Hall of Fame member of the Reading Bowling Association. He was also a member of the Ivy Leaf and Goodwill Fire Co.
Bill was an avid golfer, passionate Philadelphia sports fan and always the life of the party. He loved his family and friends dearly, especially his great-grandchildren. He remained a child at heart and lived each day to the fullest.
Bill is survived by his son, Keith A. Pauley, husband of Brenda, of Temple; brother, John E. Pauley, husband of Kathy, of Reading, grandchildren, Angela Fried, wife of Jason of Pottstown, Randy Strausser husband of Vanessa of Reading and Brian Strausser of Lansdale. Four great grandchildren, Caden, Kylie, Cole and Jenna. He was predeceased by his son, Gary Pauley and sisters, Agnes Mull and Louise Petroski. He will be lovingly remembered by his cherished companion, Patricia Keller, of Fleetwood, as well as countless friends that he made along the way.
Public viewing will be Friday, June 30th from 6 PM to 8 PM and Monday, July 3rd from 9:30 AM to 10 15 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious Service at 10:15 AM. Interment will be Monday, July 3rd at 11 AM at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Procession from funeral home will leave promptly at 10:45 AM.
