“Ginger embodied the essence of care and affection. From the very beginning, she looked after her younger siblings with a devotion that left an indelible mark. The memories shared between Ginger, Kitty, and Sonny painted a picture of sibling camaraderie that was both heartwarming and fun-filled. Through the lens of shared TV shows and board games, the bonds she forged grew stronger, even in moments of disagreements that seemed to melt away as quickly as they arose.
Those memories, like treasured files, remain vivid and cherished. Ginger's heart was a landscape of passions that she explored with unwavering enthusiasm. Whether it was her love for jazz, her infectious dance moves, or her fondness for imitating characters from cherished shows, she knew how to infuse life with joy and exuberance. The image of her dancing through life, embracing her interests and beliefs, remains etched in our minds.
As she embarked on her journey to becoming a nurse and an addiction counselor, Ginger's commitment to caring for others flourished. Her dedication to her chosen path was a testament to her unyielding spirit, and her words, "If you want to quit, it's mine" revealed her profound understanding of the power of support and empathy. She embodied her convictions and her belief in the betterment of others.
Ginger's faith, both in God and in the goodness of people, was the foundation upon which she built her life. Her unwavering belief in family unity echoed the sentiments of her mother, Ginny, demonstrating her commitment to keeping connections strong, no matter the distance. Her annual Thanksgiving journeys, her willingness to conquer her fears for the sake of family, and her dedication to preserving bonds showcased her selflessness and love.
As time and life's currents carried her along, her spirit of concern and support for her family remained steadfast. Her unconditional acceptance and her caring nature were all hallmarks of her love for her siblings and her children and grandchildren. Her pride in her children shone through, a testament to the love and care she had nurtured in them.
Ginger's journey through life was a reflection of her admiration for her mother, an embodiment of her loving heart. She now rests in the company of those who have gone before, dancing with Kitty and reuniting with loved ones. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit lives on in the cherished files of our memories, reminding us to cherish each moment, to love unconditionally, and to embrace the beauty of life. Ginger's presence in our lives was like a symphony of love, compassion, and enduring connections, woven together by the threads of shared experiences with her family…so rest in peace, dear Ginger. Your memory is a timeless treasure, your legacy an eternal light.

Written by Ginger's brother Joe (Sonny) Jakubowski.
