Paul J. Bennett, 70, of Exeter, PA, passed away Tuesday, January 10th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. Paul was born in Philadelphia, PA on October 2, 1946, a son of the late Tamara (Robinson) and Paul Bennett. He was the husband of Myrtle E. (Houston) Bennett for 46 years.
Paul was a Vietnam Vet, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and retired as a Sergeant Major after 22 years of service. He also worked at Lucent Technology, Berks County Prison, Reading Hospital and Limerick Power Plant. Paul was also a great sports fan, and his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles.
Paul is survived by his wife, three daughters: Kim Crabbe, of Arizona; Shenekwa M., wife of Marcus Jones, of Reading, PA; and Regina A., wife of Eric Miller, of Shillington, PA; and two sons: Paul J., husband of Miangel Crabbe, of Exton, PA; and Paul E. Bennett, of Exeter, PA. Paul is also survived by a brother, Julius Bennett, of Exeter, PA and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a public viewing on Sunday, January 15th from 6-8pm and Tuesday, January 17th from 10:30am-11:30am at John P. Feeney Funeral Home. A religious service will follow viewing on Tuesday. Interment will be on Tuesday, January 17th at 1:30pm at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
