James G. Eckert, 75, of Mt. Penn, PA passed away Monday, January 9th, at his residence. James was born in Reading, PA on September 13, 1941, a son of the late Catherine L. (Feyrer) and James I. Eckert.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church Reading, PA. James worked as a Postal Carrier for the US Postal Service for 32 years. James was an avid sports fan and loved all the Philadelphia sports teams.
James is survived by a sister, Joan, wife of Donald Kriebel, of Mt. Penn, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 13th at 10am at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Reading, PA followed by internment at 11:30am at Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading, PA.
