Ruthann Evans Obituary

It is with with loving memories that we hand our precious Ruthann M. Evans to our Lord Jesus Christ for eternity.

Ruthann Mae Evans, 73, of Reading, passed away Sunday, April  26 th, 2020  at  Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center. 


Ruthann was born in Reading, PA on February 4, 1947, a daughter of the late  Dorthea  M. (Clark) and Wesley J. Evans.


Ruthann is also survived by a brother, Clayton H. Evans, of Reading, PA , a sister of the late Bluma F, Madeira and brother of the late Paul W. Evans. 

She is also survived by a neice, Lynn M. (Madeira) Deeds and her husband, Chester R. Deeds both of Reading, PA., as well as many Great Nieces and Nephews  and a nephew Wesley Madeira of Florida. 

 

Ruthann not only loved her family but her long time friends and animals. Friends of lifetime Marie  Kostarous , Leonard and Joyce Moser,  Mrs. Hower, Bill Hower , Judy Newkirk  Miller and Theresa Fletcher to name a few along with her pets, Queenie, Tootie and  Neice Pets Bella and  Big Bird.  

 

She graduated from Reading High School, class of 1965.  She worked as a Kitchen Assistant at Ye Olde Iron Master Restaurant.  She loved to sing, play piano, put puzzles together and color her pictures. She was always taking care of others and would do what she could for anyone. 

 

As our world will never be the same without you "Ruthie", we know you will join our family Angels in Heaven and be on our shoulders. You will always be loved and never forgotten.  

The family requests that at this time due to the recent Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial service for Ruthann be held at a later time to be announced.

 

Burial will be at Charles Evans Cemetery Reading, PA. to be determined.  


In leiu of flowers at the cemetary, the family asks to please contact Lynn and Chester Deeds if you wish to make a donation towards the funeral expenses.
