Roumal S. (Vanlandingham) Chisholm, 84, of Reading, passed away Thursday, September 22nd, peacefully, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
She was the widow of Albert L. Chisholm, Sr. who predeceased her in 2014.
Roumal was born in Charlotte, NC on March 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Eunice (Asbury) and Seth Vandlandingham.
She graduated from Livingston College in Salisbury, NC with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education and worked as a School Teacher at Reading High School for 15 years, retiring in 1982. She also worked for 15 years at a school district in Georgia.
She is survived by her son, Juan B. Vanlandingham, husband of Patty Vanlandingham, of Reading, PA;
and 2 step children, step daughter Lealer C. Jenkins, companion of Stephen K. Hill, of Reading, and step son Albert L Allison, of Reading. She is also survived by 2 grand children Justin and Seth Vanlandingham and 2 great grandchildren Arika and Rae Ann Vanlandingham.
Friends may call Friday 11 am - 12 pm. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home. Religious Service at the Funeral Home at 12 Noon on Friday, September 30th. Interment will be with her husband at Ft Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
