Robert Edward Schwartz, 90, of Robesonia, PA, passed away Friday, February 16th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.


Robert was born in Womelsdorf, PA on June 1, 1927, a son of the late Mabel M. (Beidler) and John I. Schwartz.


He was the widower of Vivian L. (Knier) Schwartz.


Robert served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 2nd Class in WW II. He was awarded a Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, and Victory Medal.


He worked as a Designer at Gloray Knitting Mills for 43 years and retired in 1989.


He was a member of the American Legion Richland Post and VFW of Womelsdorf.


Robert is survived by a daughter, Gail L., wife of Eric Bricker, of Robesonia, PA, one grandchild, Krista, wife of Christopher Rumer, and two step great grandsons.


He is predeceased by three sisters: Ruth Meiser, Marie Lutz and Helen Smith.


Services are private at the convenience of the family.
