Ricky Lee Woodring, 64, of Reading, passed away Saturday, September 22nd, at his residence.
Born in Reading, PA, he was a son of Dorothy (Woodring) and Salvatore Ortiz.
Ricky served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a warehouseman at Power Packaging and also worked as a school crossing guard for the Reading School District for three years, last working 1 week ago.
He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed fishing in the Delaware. He loved watching the Eagles, and his happiest day was seeing them win the Superbowl.
Ricky is survived by his parents; a daughter, Jodi, wife of Samuel Dingui; five sisters: Robin Lenart, Santa Ortiz, Tara, wife of Raphael Noble, Giselle Gonzalez, and Jacqulyn, wife of James Downey; and three brothers: Joseph Ortiz, Michael Ortiz, and Timothy Ortiz, husband of Vangie. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren: Xavier and Sianne Dingui
A Public Viewing will be held 1 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, September 29th at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA. A Service will follow at 2PM. Graveside Services Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA at a later date.
