Former Perry Twp Supervisor



Paul D. "Red" Dietrich, Sr., 90, of Perry Township, passed away on July 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. Born in Reading, PA on April 1, 1927, he was a son of the late Hattie S. (Kohler) and Walter C. Dietrich. He was the widower of Mae I. (O'Meara).

Paul worked as a Car Inspector for 49 years at the Reading Railroad and Conrail. he was also a Perry Township Supervisor for 41 years and a life long farmer

Paul is survived by two daughters, Loretta Correll; Judith Fronina, and a son, Paul D. Dietrich. JR, husband of Roseann Dietrich.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Louis Fronina, Jr., and Sheila, Lisa and Laura Dietrich; and 2 great grandsons: Issac and Ian Davis.

He was predeceased by two daughters: Margaret M. and Dr. Patricia D. Dietrich; four brothers: Homer G., John T., Daniel K. and Walter C. Dietrich, and one half sister Elsie Dietrich.

Friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on Friday July 7 at 11 AM at John P. Feeney Funeral Home, Reading, PA, followed by a service. Internment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown, PA.
