Natel Fonte, 98, of Reading, passed away Sunday, December 1st, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
Natel was born in Reading, PA on November 18, 1926, a son of the late Domenica (Carabello) and Carmelo Fonte. He was the widower of Jean M (Kostzewa) Fonte.
He was a former member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Reading and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Siboney. He later worked for the US Postal Service retiring in 1988. He loved the Yankees, Frank Sinatra, and old Western movies.
Natel is survived by his three daughters, Elaine Fonte, of Temple; Diane Stefan, of Shillington; Christina Fonte, of Reading; son, Leonard, husband of Yvonne Fonte, of Reading; sister, Mary Fiorillo, of Lansdale and brother, Anthony Fonte, of Bern Township. He is survived by 5 grandchildren (Michael, Angela, Tony, Lauren & Blair) 5 great grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Natel Fonte in 2018 and brothers, Leonard, Peter and James and sisters, Marie Zelano, Rosalie McDonald and Josephine Perrotto.
Viewing will be Friday, December 6th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, Religious service will follow at 12:30 PM. Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter.
