Michael Arndt Obituary

Michael H. Arndt, 65, of Pennside, PA, passed away Monday, June 18th, at his residence.

Born in Reading, PA and raised at 5th & Douglass Sts., he was a son of the late Mary C. (McGardle) and Victor H. Arndt.

He is survived by his ex-wife Nancy E. Gehret of Wyomissing.

Michael was a graduate of Reading High School class of 1971. He worked as a Heat Treatment Technician at Surgical Specialties, formerly Angio Technology, for 18 years retiring in 2013.

Michael was also a local guitarist/musician with many local bands including Free Flyte, Oklahoma Dan Band, and Edwards & Arndt Duo. He enjoyed playing guitar daily and repairing guitars. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved riding his 1997 black Harley Davidson "full dresser." Michael also loved spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by a daughter, Shannon, wife of David Slack Jr., of Muhlenburg, Twp, PA; and a sister, Margaret Ann, wife of Kathleen Ann Page, of Arizona.

He is also survived by two grandchildren: Chelsee Slack, fiancee of Shawn Reichert, and David Slack, III, fiancee of Allissa Jones; and four great grandchildren: Londyn and Brayden Reichert, David Maverick Slack and Ayden Cintron.

Friends are invited to call Thursday, June 21st from 6-8PM at Feeney Funeral Home, with a Religious Service at 7PM.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 11AM at Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading, PA.
