Mary A, (Roth) Mascheri

Mary A. Mascheri, 86, of Leesport, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23rd during a stay at the Reading Hospital. She had been a resident at Berks Heim Nursing Home.

Born in Reading on April 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Hattie (Buck) and Victor Roth. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dominic & Kimberly Mascheri of Wernersville, daughter, Linda Mascheri of Temple, grandson Weston Wloczewski & Kristy Kushner of Temple and great-granddaughter Audrey Wloczewski. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of nine children and is predeceased by her parents and siblings. 

Mary graduated from Reading Senior High School in 1952 and attended nursing school at the Reading Hospital. She later worked at the former Berkshire Knitting Mills and finally retired from the former Polymer Corporation of Reading where she worked in the computer department for many years.

Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. For many years, she worked hard to provide a good home for her children, she later enjoyed her retirement with the Senior Club of Laureldale, Tuckerton Nifty Fifty Club & People Over 50 senior citizen organizations. Each year, she eagerly anticipated the many activities and trips that these clubs provided and enjoyed the friendships she developed. She also enjoyed playing bingo, dining with friends and hanging out with her gang at the Reading Fairgrounds Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.
