Martin Eisenhower Obituary

Martin R. Eisenhower, 81, of Exeter Township,passed away Wednesday, January 24th, at St. Francis Home, Shillington. 

Martin was born in Reading on August 3, 1942, a son of the late Mary A. (Mennicucci) and Raymond Eisenhower and was the widower of Judith A. Eisenhower (Cheripka), who passed away in 2012. They were married for 45 years.

He was a graduate of Reading High School and Penn State University and a member of St. Catharine of Sienna RC Church, Mt. Penn and served in the US Army as an E2 then worked in the Engineering Department at Carpenter Technology for 35 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Robesonia Jaycees and volunteered for Big Brothers and the United Way. He was also an avid bowler.

Martin is survived by his daughter, Lori M., wife of Robert Schwenk, of Exeter; son, Joseph G. Eisenhower, husband of Dyan (McLean) , of Sinking Spring, brother Peter M. Eisenhower, husband of Kay, of Sinking Spring; and three grandchildren, Ethan Eisenhower and Rachel and Natalie Schwenk.

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, February 3rd from 10 to 10:45 AM at St. Catherine of Sienna Chapel, 2425 Perkiomen Ave, Mt Penn, PA 19606. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 AM. Interment at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville
