Margaret A. Edwards Obituary

Margaret A. Edwards, 88, of Hamburg, passed away Saturday, August 6th, at her residence.
Margaret was born in New Philadelphia, on July 15, 1934 and was the wife of 63 years of Thomas F. Edwards, Sr., of Hamburg.
Margaret is survived by her nine children, Francis, wife of Richard Petras, of Ellicot City, MD; Patricia Aguayo, of Hamburg; Michelle Stricker, of Hamburg; Thomas F. Edwards, Jr, of Reamstown; Kathleen Edwards, of Collegeville; Margaret, wife of Walter Brown, of Wyomissing; Christopher Edwards, husband of Pauline, of Reading Eileen, wife of Scott Wiedenmann, of Reading; Martin Edwards, husband of Angela, of Hamburg; sisters, Theresa McNavage, of New Philadelphia; Frances Martin, of New Philadelphia; Christine Kubick, of Port Carbon. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren Mary and Elisabeth Petras, Eric Stoudt, Tony Aguavo, John Stricker, Heather and Austin Urkuski, Sam Hartman, Jessica, Nicholas and Brianna Edwards, Joshua Edwards, Kyle Rentschler and Charrissa Edwards and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Sophie (Vanagaitis) and Michael Martin, sisters, Kathleen Hart and Judy Rulavage and brother, Michael Martin.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church, New Philadelphia and a former member of St. Margaret's RC Church, Reading. 
Margaret served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. She worked as a Clerk at Conrail for 10 years and warehouse worker for David Crystal. She was a member and singer of the Sweet Adaline's Reading Chapter.
Viewing will be Friday, August 12th from 6 to 8 PM at Feeney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 13th at 10 AM at Holy Cross Parish, 99 N. Valley St., New Philadelphia, PA 17959. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
