Luther V. Francis, 95, of Bern Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 7th, at his residence surrounded by family members. Luther was born in Womelsdorf, PA on March 26, 1921, a son of the late Bessie (Eberly) and Walter Francis. He was the husband of Jeanne (Fantilli) Francis, who survives him. They would have been married for 75 years on April 18, 2017.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in WW II Pacific Theatre and later worked as a Dental Assistant at Delux Dental Lab Reading, PA., for 10 years and other local dental laboratories. A graduate of New York School of Mechanical Dentistry, he earned his certification from Baltimore College.
Luther was an avid model plane enthusiast and was a member of the Barn Stormers, Cocalico Propbusters and the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Luther is survived by his wife, Jeanne, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. great great nieces and nephews and great, great, great nieces.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, March 13th from 6 - 8 Pm at John P. Feeney Funeral Home a religious service will be held at 8 PM. Interment with full military honors will take place on Thursday March 16th at 1 Pm in Gethsemane Cemetery.
