Lawrence H. Clay, 96, of Reading, passed away Sunday, January 10th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
Lawrence was born in Reading on August 10, 1924, a son of the late Sarah (Lux) and Henry L. Clay and was the husband of Theresa (Futej) Clay, of Reading.
He was a 1943 graduate of Myerstown High School an served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in WW II. He worked as a manager at Farmer Pride Poultry for 33 years retiring 1982 and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.
Lawrence is survived by four daughters; Judith, wife of Brian Wolfe, of Myerstown; Mary, wife of Robert Noll, of Lebanon; Yvonne, wife of Robert Smith, of Lebanon; Cecelia, wife of Scott Navarre, of Allentown, three sons; Larry, husband of Kim Clay, of Texas; John Clay, of Texas; Henry, husband of Kimberly Clay, of Leesport; three step daughters; Sandra Shunk, of Wyomissing; Patricia Remp, of Allentown; Sal Barrett, of Sinking Spring; three step sons; Glenn, husband of Kimberly Chille, of Lincoln Park; Robert, husband of Patricia Chille, of Mt. Penn; Salvatore Chille, of Mansfield and sister, Dorothy Myer, of Lebanon. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jeremy Rott.
Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. will be announced at a later time, sometime n March 2021.
