Laverne P. Schaeffer Obituary

Laverne P. Schaeffer, 99, of Shoemakersville, PA, passed away Friday, July 1, at his residence.

Laverne was born in Reading, PA, on June 19, 1923, a son of the late Harold Schaeffer.

He was the widower of June M (Swavely) Schaeff, who died in 2008.

He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, Pacific Theatre, and later worked as a Machinist.

Laverne is survived by a daughter, Beverly Schaeffer, of Reading, PA, and a son, Michael T., husband of Donna Schaeffer of Reading. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Laverne was predeceased by a son Robert S. Schaeffer, Shoemakersville,

Encryptment with his wife will be held at a time to be determined by family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
