Joseph A. Pentz
Joseph A. Pentz, 92, of Reading, passed away Sunday, January 14th, at his residence.
Joseph was born in Reading, PA on June 28, 1931, a son of the late Mary J (Blessing) Pentz and Andrew Pentz Jr.
He was the widower of Anne M (Eline) Pentz. They were members of St. Margaret's RC Church, Reading PA.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a A/1C in The Korean War era. Then after working several jobs over the years he became a Machine Operator at Molly Fastner Division for 28 Years Retired in 1993.
He would do anything for his family and friends even strangers. He was an avid woodworker, who could make or remodel anything. He loved camping, fishing, hiking and taking photographs whenever outdoors! He was always tinkering at something or would be reading, working on a puzzle and later in life took up coloring in books and mailing his "art" to family members.
Joseph is survived by three daughters, Victoria A, wife of Thomas Dillman, of Leesport, PA; Teresita, widow of Leon Wann, of Reading, Pa; and Susan D, wife of Gary Binasiewicz, of Sinking Spring, PA. A son Michael J Pentz, of Reading, PA. There are 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by one sister, Louise C, wife of James Walter, of Temple, PA. He is predeceased by a son Timothy P. Pentz and a sister Theresa Miller.
A visitation will be held at the Funeral home Friday, January 19th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Friends and relatives are also nvited to a Mass of Christian burial celebrated by Father Ganser at Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel of the Resurrection at 11 AM, followed by Mausoleum Encryptment. Funeral Procession will leave Funeal Home at 10:30 AM Sharp.
