Joseph Angelisanti, Sr. Obituary
Joseph Angelisanti, Sr, 94, of Reading, passed away Saturday, March 30th, at Reading Hospital, West Reading. Joseph was born in Reading on June 9, 1929, a son of the late Angelina (Martini) and Michael Angelisanti and was the widower of Mary Louise (Pachuilo) Angelisanti.
A member of St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, Reading, he worked as a truck driver at the former Follmer Trucking Company for 28 years, retiring in 1980 and was a member of the Teamsters Union since 1955. He also worked for the City of Reading for 10 years in the Parks Department.
His life was his children and grandchildren. During the 70's Joe was the leader and keyboard player for the band Papa Joe and the Realistics. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and close friends. For relaxation, he loved fishing at Kaercher Creek Park and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles as well.
Joseph is survived by three daughters, Angela, wife of David Weidenhammer, of Sinking Spring; Theresa, widow of Denny Fasig, of Bern Twp.;Tina Louise Angelisanti, of Florida; two sons, Joseph Angelisanti Jr., of Exeter; Louis Angelisanti, husband of Lois, of West Lawn. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchild-ren. He was predeceased by his daughter Bernadine Seltzer, two sisters, Anna Assetto and Lena Mack, and two brothers, Morris and Pete Angelisanti.
Family and Friends are invited to gather Friday, April 5th from 9 AM to 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will follow at 10 AM. Casketed Interment follows at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
