John W. Marks, age 78 years, of Wyomissing, passed away Tuesday, January 5th, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. John was born in West Reading on December 4, 1937, a son of the late Katherine (Kaley) and Earl Marks.
He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading.
He worked as a bartender at various bars and restaurants throughout Reading and the surrounding area for many years. He appeared in the 1970 movie, "Run Rabbit Run" that was filmed in Reading and starred James Caan.
He is survived by his son, John Nessuno, of Shillington; sister, Jackie Masley, of Spring Ridge; sister, Mary Alice Marks, of Mohnton; and two grandchildren, John Jr. and Miles. He is also survived by his niece, four nephews, four grand-nieces and three grand-nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Richard C. Marks.
At John's request services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment at Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.
