John M. Knott, 56, of Temple, PA, Tuesday, October 10th, at Laureldale Nursing & Rehab Center, Laureldale.
John was born in Reading, PA on March 13, 1967, a son of the late Lottie (Jeschke) and Norbert Knott.
He was a member of Holy Guardian Angel R.C. Church Laureldale, PA 19605 and he worked as a Laborer at Blind Association of Berks County,
John was a member of the Special Olympic Bowling Team, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club. He was also member of Teutonia Lodge # 367 F&AM. Amongst the brethren and fraternity, he was known as Onkel John and was Mr. Congeniality of our District and greeted everyone with his smile and a warm hug. John was also a member of the Reading Liederkranz and the GTV Edelweiss Schuhplatter Dance Group.
He is survived by 6 sisters, Sheila M. wife of Dieter Wolter of Temple, PA. Linda C. Reid of Lakewood, CO, T. Carol Bankemper of Wyomissing, PA., Mary L. wife of Barry Sheetz of Robesonia, PA. Veronica E. wife of Timmy Burns of Spring Hill, FL., Donna G. wife of Timothy Houser of Gilbert, AZ. and two brothers, Norbert W. Knott, Jr. husband of Kathy Knott, of Temple, PA., and Jeffrey T. Knott, husband of Stacy Knott of Wernersville, PA. He is also survived by 14 Nieces and Nephews and 14 Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews
A Public Viewing will be held 5 PM to 7 PM on Sunday, October 22nd at Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA and from 9:30 to 10:00 AM on Monday, October 23rd at the funeral home. Procession to the cemetery will leave promptly at 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 23rd at Gethsemane Chapel of St. George in Laureldale, PA with Msgr Grabish officiating.
