James J. Maurer, 80, of New Ringgold, PA, formerly of Reading, passed away Sunday, October 30th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA.
The husband of Christina M. , Maurer. James was born in Reading, PA on October 11, 1936, a son of the late Mary (Fick) and Felix Maurer.
A 1964 graduate of Reading High School he attended Penn State for 2 years. He owned and operated at Tasty Made Bakery Reading, PA., for 35 Years Retiring in 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Christina, 3 daughter Wendy, wife of Steve Warwick Warwick, of Birdsboro, PA; Sandra, wife of Dave Pacenta, of Schuylkill Haven, PA; and Amy Hafer, of Douglassville, PA; a son James Maurer, of Douglassville, PA; a step daughter Desiree Lesher, of Reading, PA; and a nephew Mike Stempkowski
James is also survived by 5 grandchildren Michael and Steven Warwick, Kaitlyn, Rachel and Andrew Hafer and 3 great grandchildren, John, Noah and Aiden Warwick. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Stempkowski.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 4th at John P. Feeney Funeral Home in Reading, PA . Friends are invited to call from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park Mt. Penn, PA.
