Gerald H. (Jerry) Greth, 87, of West Lawn, PA, passed away Thursday, February 9th, 2023 after a short battle with lung cancer. He passed away at his residence surrounded by family members who want to thank Mary Strauser for all of her help and compassion during this difficult time.
Gerald was born in Reading, PA on June 1, 1935, a son of the late Jeanette (Reichstetter) Greth and Henry Greth. He was the husband of Geneva R (Moll) Greth who survives him. They were married for 62 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime and retired in 1995 from the Cleaning House at Car Tech, Reading, PA., after 30 years of service.
Gerald was an avid bowler at Berks Lanes and Bowl-a-rama, having rolled several 300 games and 800 series.
He loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and also enjoyed Penn State Football and going to the casinos with friends.
In addition to his wife, Geneva, Gerald is survived by a daughter, Donna Marie, wife of Jonathon Mohring, of South Heidelberg Township, Pa; three sons Rodney Wolfe, of Wyomissing, Pa; Gerald Alan Greth, (husband of Wendy Feschuk), of Orangeville, Pa; Jeffrey Allen Greth, (husband of Kathleen Skipper) of Fort Myers, FL.
Gerald is also survived by four sisters, Nancy Fuhr, of Philadelphia, Pa; Patricia Williams, of Muhlenberg, Pa; Susan Blandford, of Hamburg, Pa; Debbie Bender, of Fleetwood, Pa. and two brothers, James Greth, of Exeter Twp, and Jeffrey Greth, of Temple, Pa.
Gerald loved spending time with his 6 Grandchildren, Ryan Schell (husband of Christina Reinert), Michelle Fanelli (wife of Robert Fanelli), Jason and Justin Greth, and Jason and Joshua Wolfe and his 8 Great grandchildren.
Friends and Relatives are invited to attend a graveside service that will be held at Laureldale Cemetery Muhlenberg Township, Route 61 at Tuckerton Street on Wednesday February 15th at 1 PM.
