Florence E. (Starke) Dengler Obituary

Florence E. Dengler, 96, formerly of Reading, passed away on Friday, January 27th, at Manor Care in Sinking Spring. Florence was born in Reading, PA on May 1, 1920, a daughter of the late Mamie R. (Van Reed) and Edward E. Starke. She was the widow of John R. Dengler.


Florence was the owner of Dengler's Variety Store, Reading, PA., for 41 years from 1950-1991.


Florence is survived by a grand niece, Melissa Moyer of Sinking Spring, and many other grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Loretta B. Sterner, formerly of Reading.


Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, January 31st at 1 PM in Laureldale Cemetery, Reading with Pastor Fair officiating.
