Known for a lifetime of servant leadership, one time growing 144 tomato plants only to donate all of the tomatoes to the Salvation Army Service Center, housed pregnant teenagers, delivered Meals on Wheels to shut-ins each holiday – one time feeding an elderly woman living in an abandoned school bus in the woods, found homes for homeless families and abused women, adopted a family each Christmas providing them with a Christmas tree, gifts for all, and a complete Christmas meal, and created surgical supplies for Tower Health Reading Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. As she grew older, she enjoyed cooking her Italian meals and sharing them with all she would meet.
Dolores won a Camaro on ‘Let’s Make A Deal,’ was the star softball pitcher of her high school, enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, sewing, deep sea fishing, and swimming. To know Dolores Sparagana was to fall in love with her.
