Claire B. Kline, age 93 years, of Reading, passed away Wednesday, August 24th, at her residence.
Claire was born in Reading on February 24, 1923, a daughter of the late Mary Eva (Sommer) and Andrew C. Klein, Sr. and was the widow of her husband of 62 years, James G. Kline, who passed away in July of 2009.
She was a 1940 graduate of St. Peter's Catholic High School and was employed as an operator at Bell Telephone in Reading for many years.. She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph RC Church Reading and client at Vision Resource Center of Berks County, Reading.
Claire is survived by her sons: James M. Kline, husband of Diane, of San Bernadino, CA; Andrew T. Kline, husband of Sue J., of Limekiln; Craig P. Kline, husband of Vernell, of Falls City, Tx; Francis C. Kline, husband of Sharon, of Reading; daughters: Barbara C., wife of Lee Heffner, Jr, of Reinholds: Elizabeth T., wife of Richard Mann, of Shillington and Grace M., wife of Dwayne Nelson, of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis E. Kline: brother, Andrew C. Klein, Jr.: sisters, Dorothea Hurley and Elizabeth Craig anda great granddaughter Angelica Senna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph RC Church, 1018 N. 8th St., Reading at 11 AM on Monday, August 29th. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
