Barry Scretching Obituary

Barry S. Scretching, 70, of Reading, passed away Friday, July 11th, at his residence.


Barry was born in Queens, New York on July 3, 1955, a son of the late Claudia (Thornton) and Young Scretching.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War and also served in the U.S. Army.He worked in Intelligence in the US Air Force and later in the US Army for a total of 22 years of service. After his Discharge he worked for 10 years with the City of Philadelphia.
Barry is survived by his six sisters, Dorothy Scretching, of Bear, DE; Robin Scretching, of Philadelphia; Josephine Scretching, of Bear, DE; Claudia Scretching, of Philadelphia; August NIchole Scretching, of Sunbury, PA; Christine Scretching, of Bear, DE; and brother, Daniel Scretching of Philadelphia.


Interment will be Wednesday, July 23 at 1:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
