Anthony Jacob Kosmerl, 24, of Muhlenberg Township[, passed away at 11:10 AM , Wednesday, May 25th, at his residence. .
Anthony was born on August 21, 1991 in St. Joseph's Hospital to John and Carmen (Pingitore) Kosmerl.
Known to his friends as "Booty," Anthony graduated Muhlenberg High School in 2009. He then graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in 2013 with a degree in Electrical Maintenance. He last worked at Deka in 2015.
Anthony was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. He also volunteered at the church's after school program, the Dove's Nest.
Anthony enjoyed going to outdoor concerts, playing with his family dogs Addie and Auggie, hanging out with his friends, spending time with his family, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
Everyone who met him knew him as easy-going and friendly, and he was always thoughtful and kind. May he rest in peace.
Anthony was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Edward and Lois (Hoke) Kosmerl; maternal grandfather Frank Pingitore.
Anthony is survived by his parents and maternal grandmother Alice (Feeney) Pingitore (at home); sisters Angela (wife of Jeremy Denunzio) of Leesport, and Amanda (fiancé of Justin Sobotka) Reading; nephews Mason Denunzio and Keegan Sneeringer-Sobotka; niece Cecelia Denunzio; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in his memory.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, located at 4th and Windsor Streets, Reading, on Sunday, May 29 at 12:30 PM. Visitation with family will be at 11:30 AM in the church social room.
