Zachary Thomas Kantner 

Desert Storm One, PTSD Veteran


Zachary Thomas Kantner, 44, of West Lawn, passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 18th. 


Zachary was born in West Reading, PA on July 5, 1972, a son of Linda S. (Eschleman) Kantner, of West Lawn, PA and the late Frank A. Kantner.


A graduate from Wilson High School, Class of 1990, he served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division as a Specialist in the Desert Storn One.. 


He was later employed as a Prison Guard at Berks County Prison Bern Township,  for 5 years until he retired, He suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from Desert Storm I in Iraq.


Zachary is  survived by his mother, Linda, and a daughter, Haylie Amanda Jolyssin Kantner, of Wyomissing, PA and his friend, Michell Landes along with aunts, uncles and cousins.  Zachary was predeceased by his sister Amanda Mary Elizabeth Kantner in 2002.


Friends are invited to call 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 20th at john P. Feeney Funeral Home Centre Avenue at North 4th St.  in Reading, PA  A Religious Service will be held 8 PM on Thursday, October 20th at john P. Feeney Funeral Home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to Feeney Funeral Home 625 N 4th Street Reading, PA 19601. 


Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA on Friday at 10 Am with full military honors
