William C. Cremer Jr., age 84 years, of Exeter Township, formerly of Riverview Park, passed away at Berkshire Commons, where he resided, on Thursday, December 31st, with his wife, Jeanne (Lombardo) Cremer, of 62 years, by his side.
William was born on September 29, 1931, at Community General Hospital, Reading, a son of the late Marie M. (Moore) Cremer and William C. Cremer Sr.
A 1949 graduate of Reading High School, he married his high school sweetheart in 1953.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.
He dedicated over 60 years working with his father and family at the former William C. Cremer and Son, Inc.
William was an active member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading, having served as a property chairman and councilman and was active in Boy Scouts as an Eagle Scout and a Webelos leader.
He was the past President of the Reading Camping Club, a charter member of Spring Lawn Optimist Club, member of Olivet's Boys and Girls Club and member of Mohnton Fish and Game Club.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed spending time at Lone Wolf Deer Camp in Sullivan County.
A man of few words, he conveyed his love for family and friends through his thoughtful actions.
In addition to his wife, William is survived by his sons, Philip T., husband of Sallie Cremer, of Kutztown, and Thomas A., husband of Lori Cremer, of Sinking Spring; sister, Patricia, wife of Salvatore Pachuilo, of Reading.
He is also survived by brother-in-law, David Lombardo, husband of Elaine, of Leesport; grandchildren; Kelly, wife of Josh Layser, Andrew, Angela and Alicia; and great-granddaughter, Ava. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Laura.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 12 to 1 p.m. at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
