Virginia Hertzog Obituary
Virginia M. Hertzog, 94, of Myerstown, formerly of Temple, passed away Monday, January 14th, at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading.
Virginia was born in Rockland Twp. on February 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Helen J. (DeLong) and Bryan R. Hertzog.
She was a graduate of Reading Standard Evening School and Kutztown State College then worked as a teacher in the Reading School District. She was a member of Faith Church, Temple.
Surviving are her nephew, Gary S., husband of Tina Hertzog, of Hamburg and niece, Christine E. Hertzog, of Menlo Park, CA. She was predeceased by her brother Allen E. Hertzog in 2009. Virginia enjoyed traveling and loved her cat, Sophie.
Friends are invited to call Monday from 12:30 to 1 PM at Laureldale Cemetery Chapel, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605. Religious service will follow at 1 PM. Interment at Laureldale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St. Reading, PA 19604.
