Tara Kline Obituary

Tara Marie Kline, age 48, passed away on the morning of Saturday, September 11, 2021. Born on June 9, 1973, she was the daughter of Glenn L. Kline, and the late Barbara A. (Smith) Kline. She is survived by her father, her brother Chadd Kline, and her aunt Holly Smith. Tara was a 1991 graduate of Reading Senior High school. She also attended Reading Area Community College's School of Nursing, graduating as an RN in 2002. A veteran of the United States Air Force, she served during Operation Desert Storm, also serving in other places including Korea and Germany.
As per Tara's wishes, the family did not hold a service for her, as she would rather be remembered for the person she was when she was still among us. She was an avid athlete, playing many sports in school, including basketball, softball and track. She was always active and looking for something new to try. She was a true daredevil and many times said, "I'll try anything once, twice if I like it," making those around her laugh. She accomplished many of the things all kids did, such as bike riding, skate boarding, and more, but she also tried more extreme activities such as sky diving, riding the rapids, parasailing, and zip lining.
Tara was an avid reader and writer. She preferred books that spoke to her instead of just fictional literature. She liked reading books that would open the mind to new possibilities and ideas about life. She kept journals and wrote poetry and stories that came from her very heart and soul. Her family is looking forward to reading those journals at some future time, and finding out Tara's thoughts on life and the universe. She was also an incredible artist, who loved to draw and paint.
The biggest passion in Tara's life was her love of animals. Her dream had been to someday buy a farm and open an animal sanctuary. She was a rescuer of many animals over the years, especially pitbulls and pitbull mixes. She leaves behind a big boy named Jamey, who is now living with her aunt. Quite often she would say there were times in life when she preferred animals over people and who can blame her, animals love unconditionally without judgement.
Tara was also a rescuer of people. As much as she was going through in her own life, her drive was to help others, many times buying toothbrushes and toothpaste and baby wipes in bulk and taking them to areas where she knew people were living in cars and tents. She would take clothing, blankets, sneakers, and more, always being willing to give, even if it meant taking from herself.
Tara was a unique soul, with a funky, fun, and unique personality. She fought many battles in her life, but she always had a full spirit, and a heart full of love. She had a wicked sense of humor and sometimes had no filter when she spoke her mind. She believed in telling it like it was. Tara was always her own person and did her own thing.
Tara was many things to many people. A daughter, a sister, a niece, a nurse, but most of all a friend to everyone and anyone. These are thing things her family wants everyone to remember about her.
