Shirley M. Minnich, 90, of Wyomissing, passed away Saturday, February 7th, at Berkshire Commons, Reading. After a lengthy hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Shirley was born at the Reading Hospital in West Reading on October 14, 1935, a daughter of the late Bertha (Rhinier) and John Ruth and was the wife of William L. Minnich Sr., of Wyomissing.
She was a member of Reading Chapter No. 251 Order of the Eastern Star.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Kerry L. Minnich of Exeter and Josh D. Minnich of Wyomissing. She is also survived by two grandsons: Steven of Exeter and Andrew, of Wyomissing. Along with one great grandson, Carter and two great granddaughters Scarlett and Holly. She was predeceased by her son, William L. Minnich, Jr. in 2014.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed watching her husband perform both solo and in bands throughout there 68 years of Marriage. She always had a warm smile on her face and was very thankful for the life she was given. She lit up the room, and all thoroughly enjoyed her company. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. The memories she had provided will last forever in our hearts. Thankfully her time has passed on this earth as she can enjoy everlasting peace, love and joy free of pain and suffering that she did not deserve in her final days.
