Sara C. Schneider, 92, of West Lawn, passed away Saturday, December 9th, at Country Meadows of Wyomissing.
Sara was born in Hartford, Alabama on January 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Annaree (Van Landingham) and Wilburn M. Burch and was the widow of Joseph A. Schneider, who passed away in 1966.
She served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal from 1949 to 1952 serving in the 9710 TSU-5th WAC Detachment. She then worked as a Customer Service Representative at Dauphin Deposit, now M&T Bank, for 24 years retiring in 1996.
She was a member of Sacred Heart R. C. Church, West Reading.
Sara is survived by her son, David Schneider (Dabney), of Jeffersonton, Virginia; sisters, Lou Whaley, of Dothan, Alabama and Martha Boyette (Bill), of Hattisburg, Mississippi and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Tindell and brother, Charles Burch (Mary).
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
